Our trip to the movies

Posted on: February 24, 2008

shamrock.jpgToday we decided to go see the Spiderwick Chronicles. It’s a very good movie and, if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s well worth it to go. However, maybe I’m showing my age, but what happened to manners in the movie theater? Why do people insist on talking, and why do people bring little babies to the movies? A family sitting behind us thought they were sitting in their living room and just talked and talked amongst themselves through the whole show. A man in the theater had a cold or allergies, and every time he sneezed the lady behind us yelled ‘God Bless You’ to him. Someone brought a small baby who cried and cried through the first half of the show. This isn’t the first time we’ve gone to the movies and had people talk to each other, comment loudly all through the movie, check their cell phone in case someone ‘important’ called, answer their cell phone because someone ‘important’ is calling, bring their newborn baby, or bring their children to movies that are inappropriate for their age. You’d think with the price of movie tickets they’d want to enjoy the show just as much as we do! Enough ranting. It’s just the way of the world these days.

Here’s a shamrock for Saint Patrick’s Day. It’s just around the corner. The year is just flying by isn’t it? I did this last night and test sewed. Hope you can use it. Until next time.

Let’s go sew!

Well, I still can’t get to any of your pictures. You didn’t say anything to anybody in the theater. I can’t believe it

No, I didn’t say anything. I was being nice…and it was very, very hard to be nice. I’ll look into the pictures. If you click on them they don’t come up. Or do you get the snapshot screen that you can open? Are you feeling better? You had a bad case of the flu!

I got some of the pictures and I like the flowers. Do you think Bruiser is going to get along with the boys?

I don’t know if he will or not, but he’ll be crated for the first few weeks because of the HW treatment. By that time, they should all be comfortable, or at least familiar, with each other. I thought we were going to get him this weekend, but it looks like it might be the weekend after.
